Republicans attack LA Clipper Owner Sterlings Multi-racial Girlfriend

The republicans say that Sterling can make any racist comment he wants based on the first amendment. They say the real guilty person is his girlfriend who taped his racist rant.

In the comfort of your own home you should be able to say whatever you want without fear of being secretly taped. Zebra's can't be trusted and this one should be sent to jail as an example.

I agree with Mark Cuban. This is a slippery slope that you will regret later.

    • Understand Sterling's philosophy ... the same as slave-owning plantation masters ... it is OK to date or have relations with slaves and it is expected that their "property", the players, will be rewarded if they perform and their owner will be civil to them ... however, they are in a subservient underclass and never will the white owners treat them as equals ... this is why so many see Obama as "the other", an illegitimate President ... the core philosophy of the so-called "tea" party ...

    • He who is without any racism or any bigotry stand up. This seems to be a human characteristic. What is good is that the vast majority of humans are tolerant.

    • Remember in our country both democrats and republicans can enjoy 'Freedom of Speech'. If you were living in an area under Islamic law you do not have 'freedom of speech and freedom of religion'. Thanks almost all of America.

    • They couldn't possibly be that stupid. The first amendment only refers to the government passing laws to restrict free speech, it does not bind the hands of the private sector or dictate the response of public opinion. Ask Paula Dean. Go in to your boss and tell them what you really think. See what the first amendment gets you. She may be guilty of some breach of the law here, it doesn't absolve him or shelter him from the consequences of his actions. Charles Barkley hit the nail on the head on this one.
