"politicians must remember that they are servants of the people. They are not 'rulers'" Too many of our elected reps forget this and they think they are rulers. Time to get rid of them. This includes the president that is ruling by his 'pen'. MO.
This manis a hypocrite....he owes his position in life to the Federal Government.......now he wants to cut the very programs that lifed him out of proverty......typical Republican....he's got his, but he doesn't want anyone else to get their's the way he sis
What most of you do not want to know or remember, most all of the welfare programs were started and built up to the high level of benefits by our glorious democrat presidents. Democrat FDR was the president that started most of todays welfare programs. JFK and LBJ and Clinton and now Obama have added many trillions of dollars to the programs and all it has done is created more poor people. Thinki about it-gov't reports.
This is what is seen through this democrats eyes.
If it weren't for his "Obama Glasses" he may never had made it through High School.
Carson, in his book, tells how his grades improved tremendously when a government program provided him with free eyeglasses because he could barely see. Not only that, in “Gifted Hands” we read this nugget: “By
the time I reached ninth grade, mother had made such strides that she received nothing but food stamps. She couldn’t have provided for us and kept up the house without that subsidy.”
It never occurred to me that republicans think they are rulers, the lot of them take their marching orders from Grover Norquist, and the Koch brothers and grovel at the feet of Sheldon Adelson rulers leader not a chance.
Democrats remind me of the sheep in Orwell's book "Animal Farm". You bleat out what you are told to bleat out, by the pigs (Democrat leadership.) You cannot think. You cannot reason. Your masters told you never to read anything, just trust them. Remember, "You can't read the bill, before you pass it?" Well, you are the perfect sheep.
I you are not even more impressed by this rising above the vast majority of welfare folks, by breaking the chains of dependence, then you are not much of a Republican. Since the whole welfare system has been designed to keep people in poverty, it is all the greater accomplishment that Dr. Carson achieved as much as he has, by hard work and study. Something, many of our college students should be doing. I have great respect for those who break the bonds of poverty programs.
As a past welfare worker, WELFARE IF FOR PEOPLE THAT HAVE A BIT OF BAD LUCK. You get on welfare for a short period of time until you can find a job. Problem today is once a person/family gets on welfare the benefits are so good compared to working at a low paying job it does not make sense to get off. Would you take a job that pays about the same as the amount someone will give you to stay in bed? Only an idiot would. MO...
Dr Carsons' mother refused to go on welfare. He reasoning was that once you start on welfare, you never get off if. She raised her two boys by cleaning houses. Looks like she did a really great job.
Thats OK just so long as the black man is a republican. Did the great Dr Carson get into a college on his own, or only because of affirmative action. That too is just fine when the black man is a republican
