OK...you're my buy indicator. I'm in at $9.21, at least a respectable discount and close to 15% yield...though have to wait a few months.
So maybe you should have bought Blackrock's other buy/write CEF CII which is at a 6% premium and 'only' a 13% yield. Has had better NAV performance than BGY but then, doesn't have intl. exposure.
Or you could try the ING funds, which are mostly intl. Try IID, down YTD MORE than BGY, only a 12.5% yield (paid monthly however) and back to a 15% premium!! In fact, for an intl. fund, BGY's NAV has actually outperformed other buy/write CEF's like EXG, ETW, IID & INB.
Hard to predict what will happen with this as I hear Blackrock is gambling big by buying more BP. We don't know what funds it's going into. Do I agree it's a good thing? No. But I'm not a fund manager, so what do I know.
