JCP used to offer 10 off when $25 is spent. Don`t these fools realize JCP is the dept. store for working
class American poor ? Nobody spends 50 at JCP, so the coupon is a joke.
The problem is with the new target customer. They are young kids living in mom and dad's basement because their degree in middle eastern medieval frog dancing has yet to yield a job. The whole assumption with new customers is for them to spend money, but they are broke.
You are forgetting that they have alienated their old customer base. The reason for all the transformation is so they can grab some of the A&F, American Eagle and Aeropostale kids. They fired their old customers. jCPfraud called them dregs.
I guess customer retention isn't all that important to RJ & the rest of the c-level execs. I predict that RJ is gone after 1st Q along with Hannah and Kramer.
I went to the store last week and I have never seen jCPenney that empty ... All I know is that it is costing them an arm and leg to keep 150K of sq open. Joe Fresh is not going to save this company.
