So today I was at the mall and decided to see for myself if traffic was up or down at JCP. When I walked into the store I couldn't believe it, the place was packed with people. However, I was quickly taken back when I saw everyone carrying Macy's bags. So in looking around a bit more I finally realized that this was no longer a JCP store, the space had been taken over by Macy's. I asked an employee about it and they said that JCP couldn't cut it, not enough business so they left. What's even more spectacular is that there is another Macy's at the end of the mall and this one was mainly for Men's items. So where JCP couldn't cut it with one store, Macy's is packing them in with two stores. True story!
Sad post but typical of the short interest hashing up old news to try and scare people.
That store in Enfield closed in June of 2000 because it was not profitable. So perhaps you can come up w/ something a little more current then some news from 13 1/2 freaking years ago?!?
So today I decided to go to the mall and see what kind of deals Macy's had and to see if traffic was up or dow compared to what I've noticed at JCP. When I walked into the store I was surprised to see the place was pretty packed. Although I started to notice that everybody was holding JCP bags. I asked an employee and she informed me that even with sales, people still weren't buying things from Macys and that they were going to JCP where ALL the great deals were. What's even more spectacular is that upon actually walking over to the JCP store, I noticed they were so packed, they were using wireless devices to check people out faster so that the lines would move faster. So where Macy's couldn't cut in this mall, JCP was dominating!!!
Just goes to show, that anybody can typed up any story. I hope you enjoyed mine :-)
Guess what you lying douchebag Jcp closed in Enfield in the year 2000 that is 13 years ago go spread your lies somewhere else , is that what you tell your kids when you go home that their dad makes a living lying to people?
Hey F-tard, all I said is that it was a Penney's and now it's a Macy's. Then everyone jumps in and says, "that's a lie, there are no Macy stores where JCP used to be." So which part wasn't true? JCP is GONE and Macy's is there in it's place and thriving. A "short" 20 months ago JCP was trading in the 40s and today it is trading 80% lower in the 8s. Get a clue and start paying attention to reality.
That's a complete LIE. There is not a single Macy's in the country that was a former JCP. In 2006 when Macy's parent company merged with May Department store they converted them to Macy's. About 84 Malls have twin Macy's because of this merger. You saw two Macy's but one was never a JCP. Total Lie.
