JCP Online Sales Jumped 37% During Weekend
Funny thing - the article I read didn't say "JCP" it only said "Online sales" - - - but let's assume you're not the blatant liar you seem to be, and that JCPenney's online sales did increase by 37% in that time period - - - we'd be talking about "3 Million dollars" - - - now at a 33% margin, that's around "1 Million" - - - and SSS overall dropped by 21% - - - - - - - ooooopsie, you're even worse off than I thought - - - - - I was thinking you at least paid the light bill in Poughkeepsie
Funny thing - the article DID say exactly this in the heading "JCP News: [$$] Online Sales Jumped 37% During Weekend" so while this proves the poster is not the "blatant liar" you accuse him of, it does show that you are either a total moron or your mommy dropped you on your head one time too many... I think both!
Bwahahaha... Three million? Where did you pull that number, out of your expansive #$%$ that you BF has worn out? Hahaha... What an ignoramus... What a maroon (ala Bug Bunny)... Get ready to cover your shorty #$%$... Oops, guess the BF has done that already....
There's actually five JCPs in the Poughkeepsie, NY area as well as one in Poughkeepsie, AK... That a lot of light bills... JCP in the upper teens in a year and nothing your pissin' n moanin' can do about it luzer.... Merry Christmas! ;-)
Sentiment: Strong Buy
The article didn't say that JCP online sales rose by 37%, but that total online sales for many retailers increased 37%. JCP was mentioned in the article, but the writer did not have info specific to JCP.
That having been said, it's reasonable to think that JCP had a substantial increase. Given that the JCP increase for the brick-and-morter locations has exceeded its peers, the increase for JCP online sales was probably more than 37%.
We should get past the thought that this holiday might show the turnaround to be complete. In addition to reversing the RJ damage, JCP needs to make up for the lost time during which he was in charge. Retailing undergoes constant change. JCP needs to pick up the ball that was fumbled by RJ, and get back into the game. No matter how good December sales turn out to be, some will find a variety of reasons why they're not good enough. With respect to a turnaround, I'm placing great importance on changes that JCP plans to roll out during Q1 of 2014.

I haven't meet or talked to anyone that thinks the "turnaround" is complete - - - most investors would be extremely happy for GOOD December sales to show a "Turnaround" has STARTED !!!
As far as the article - even a 100% INCREASE in online sales(they dropped to 800M last year) during the 3 day period they referenced would be offset by ANY decline in same store sales(which was also indicated) - - - -the article information could have easily meet your expectations for the average Motley info
