This stock won't go down until the longs run for the door. The short interest is rather static although the names may change as one short replaces another. As a stock becomes more overpriced, we could expect the short interest to increase somewhat, but it will be limited by the amount of shares available. I think it is impossible to have more shares short than are outstanding. The longs are in charge.- If they all hold onto this stock with no earnings, no equity, and no exclusivity, the price will stay up. If they can convince more moms and pops to buy, the price can go up. In the meantime, mutual funds can play musical chairs.
