Jim Cramer Uses CNBC to Manipulate Stocks
I've been waiting for a good time to bring this story to Daily Kos and, since it's CNBC day (or week hopefully), I figured now would be a good time.
By now, everyone should have heard about the ongoing war that CNBC is waging against the Obama administration and its plans revamp the economy. From its constant anti-Obama propaganda and commentary to its shady PR stunt to manufacture a bogus uprising against Obama's mortgage plan, CNBC has been working overtime as a propaganda front against the Obama agenda.
Jim Cramer Uses CNBC to Manipulate Stocks
I know you just can't go long on any stock because you're cheap.
So, I suggest the following high P/E stocks for you to short. Who knows? You may get lucky with these stocks and make money for once!
Williams-Sonoma, Inc. WSM
Market Cap.: 2.02B
Silver Wheaton Corp. (USA) SLW
Market Cap.: 4.87B
See AMZN's P/E is nothing to be scared of. It's too low for a company of Amazon's presence/reputaion!
O.K. I hear some of you saying, "Market capitalization of these companies is not comparable to that of Amazon.com."
Very well . . .
Credit Suisse Group AG (ADR) CS
Market Cap.: 48.52B
HSBC Holdings plc (ADR) HBC
Market Cap.: 179.03B
Bwahahahahahaha . . .
AMZN's current P/E is ridiculously low.
Unless it exceeds 100 consistently, I won't worry about it.
230 this year.
(Even for those who is stuck with "P/E must be low" mentality, AMZN's P/E is actually very reasonable. Assume the earnings growth is 25% a year; in three years, the earnings will double, cutting P/E in half.)
"...(Even for those who is stuck with "P/E must be low" mentality, AMZN's P/E is actually very reasonable. Assume the earnings growth is 25% a year; in three years, the earnings will double, cutting P/E in half.)...."
So what happen if the growth is not 25% in next 3 years?

LG will duke it out with Amazon and Apple
Friday, 12 February 2010, 15:36
KOREAN ELECTRONICS MAKER LG intends to launch its own e-reader to take on Apple and Amazon.
In an interview with Emirates Business LG's CEO KW Kim said, "We will soon launch a new product, maybe by April. It will compete with Apple and Amazon."
Kim wouldn't be pushed further but he did insist that the LG product will be "revolutionary". Of course.
LG has demoed technology for e-readers in the past. In October last year it launched a solar powered e-reader and in December it started manufacturing e-paper displays, the flat screens used in e-readers.
The solar powered e-reader was a niche product with stripped-down functionality so this is the first time LG has announced that it will be coming to market with an e-reader of its own.
If LG wants to take on Amazon and Apple at mass retail we expect its 'revolutionary' e-reader will have to feature some serious bells and whistles to stand out in a market that's getting increasingly more crowded
Digital Music's Growth Hits A Sour Note
The Web is proving to be more tune-deaf than once thought.
The growth of digital music sales — the big hope for an industry with declining revenue overall — is falling sharply.
People bought more than 1.15 billion digital songs in the U.S. last year, says research firm Nielsen SoundScan. That's a record number, but the year-over-year growth of 8.3% paled next to the 27% growth in 2008 and 45% in 2007.

SCAM GAME OVER..ALL STATES: SALES TAX..THIS SCAM GOES ZIPPO
Va. panel OKs bill to collect tax for online sales
Va. Senate committee OKs bill to force online retailers to pay state sales taxes
By Bob Lewis, AP Political Writer , On Wednesday February 10, 2010, 11:18 pm EST
RICHMOND, Va. (AP) -- A bill that would force online retailers to pay the same Virginia sales taxes as traditional stores advanced Wednesday from a Senate committee.
On a voice vote with only one dissent, the Senate Finance Committee advanced Sen. Emmett Hanger's measure that would hold companies such as Amazon and Overstock.com as accountable for the tax as "brick-and-mortar" shops.
"Folks, we've got to get this playing field leveled," said Brian Dillistin, owner of The Floor Trader, a Richmond-area carpet and flooring company.
Hanger said that traditional stores have suffered difficulties in an effort to survive a sharp dip in the economy while fending off online competitors that don't collect the 5 percent state and local sales and use taxes to the price.
Kelly Justice, owner of the Fountain Bookstore in a trendy, historic area of downtown Richmond, said that the drain has put her livelihood on the brink.
"My job is in danger and my ability to do my job and be a good citizen is at risk. The online retailer is not going to contribute physically and with their time" to local causes, Justice said.
Hanger's bill has the backing of the Virginia Retail Merchants Association.
The bill would collect the tax from state-based businesses that affiliate with major multinational online shopping businesses such as Amazon and Overstock.com.
In such cases, the major online firms serve almost as wholesalers for Virginia-based Internet businesses that feature their hyperlinked banner ads. The local company receives a share of the sale -- a transaction on which no sales tax is paid.
Opponents argued that the bill would punish only the small Virginia firms because the global cyber-shopping giants would simply sever their state affiliations once those sales are taxed.
Myles Louria, a lobbyist for one opponent -- the Northern Virginia Technology Council -- argued that the bill would leave the major companies unscathed while killing local online enterprises.
"You're going to put Virginia businesses out of business if you do that," said Reggie Jones, a lobbyist for another opponent, Dulles-based AOL. "It looks good, but it doesn't do what it's intended to do."
The measure heads for a vote by the full Senate, probably early next week.

We're keeping our eye on this bad boy because eReaders are really starting to shine and this is the sexiest one we've seen so far. Aside from boasting the highest resolution seen on an eReader to date (it boasts an 11.5" (1600x1200) display), the Skiff implements e-paper technology from LG Display, which utilizes a metal foil instead of the more traditional glass substrate. Simply put, this baby is beautiful and she's flexible. What more could you want?
eBook readers certainly hogged a chunk of the CES 2010 spotlight and Samsung's E6 and E101 eBook readers were no exception. These two devices enable users to write directly on the screen using a stylus pen, providing a means for annotations, sketching, quick writing, and more. The E101 offers a larger 10" screen compared to the smaller 6" E6 model, while both offer WiFi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth, and 2 GB of flash memory. However, the price tags are rather chunky—consumers not wanting to spend between $400 to $700 might want to look elsewhere.

>DELAYING payment beyond 90 days to vendors
I'm glad Amazon's payment days were only 68 last quarter then, down from 72 the previous quarter. The vendors must be very pleased at this "development".
Amazon earns bank interest on this "liability" while Ford pays interest on theirs, see the difference?
