Why this stock will increase in the long term.

Analysts said its aggressive expansion plans and investment in new products had hit profits.

But sales of digital content helped boost revenues for the quarter by 22% to more than $16bn.

Its gross profit margin - a closely-watched measure by investors - also increased to 26.6%, from 24% a year ago.

In recent months, Amazon has been investing heavily in building new warehouses to improve delivery times, as well as launching new products such as its Kindle range and online film and video content.

Analysts say its strategy is to ensure longer-term success at the cost of short-term profits.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • Loyalty for a stock in obvious decline is not the best case scenario. AMZN had a great run that lasted longer than anyone could imagine. The problem now is they cannot grow revenue to justify an out of control bubble valuation. Thursday and Friday were just the beginning. This retrace will be swift and deep. The bull case for AMZN may have a chance after the pullback is complete - maybe by the holidays.

    • " longer-term success at the cost of short-term profits."???

That's where they get you..has the long tern been defined? Is there even a range? The answer is NO...been listening to this the last several years.
AMZN might make $1 some quarter but if you think there will be a time when they will 4 quarters in a row...then you are beyond help.

    • BS, where's the money?

      Jeff Bezos = P.T. Barnum

      Sentiment: Strong Sell
