    Identity of AMZN Insiders

According to Schwab research, it lists KPCB VIII Assoc LP as the only insider and it owns only 40000 shares of AMZN. How can this be?

First of all, who are they? (KPSB VIII Assoc LP)
Are Jeffrey Bezos (CEO) and Joy Covey (CFO) part of that group?

I would have guessed that those guys must own millions of shares, but according to Schwab research, that doesn't seem to be the case.

No can't be right....Bezos must have more than 40000 shares himself....
    Can someone verify this?

    • 19.3 million shares are held by insiders....the lockup period ended in December....some selling has begun in january....its obvious due to the tremendously high volume and a small float of only 3 million shares......

Bezos owms more that 9 million shares....the rest are held by investment banks who brought it public...they were Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, Alex Brown, and Hambrecht and Quist....the way these guys get paid is by selling their stock....

Other insiders may be other management and anyone else affiliated with the company and/or underwriters who helped bring it public...there are probably at least 30-40 such parties. Again, they are looking to sell at least part of thier holdings, as its the only way for them to get will see the filings 45 days after the stock has been sold......
