    • Now poor impoverished Jon made a point out of Christian be shocked by the Greeting “Peace be upon you” in the season of good will towards all people? I sure do not throw away the Christmas cards I receive from my Muslim friends. After all to them Jesus is one of the great Prophets of their religion.
      My Buddhist friends think of the nativity scenes as a manifestation of the Buddha. Light in the journey towards nirvana. But I do not get Christmas or Holiday cards from them as attachment to all this worldly existence; including relying on God, is attachment to it.
      So while Jon’s little saber rattling amused his audience which lurks in his caves darkness, just caused me to shake my head in sadness for his poverty. After all here is a unique creation gifted more than a fair share of lighting intelligence and timing, choosing the well worn downward path for riches and adulation of the denizens of the his darkness.
      How about an American I would consider a Rabbi even though I have no authority on the matter.

        As Mr. O wisely pointed out, manger scenes do not proclaim Jesus God. So how does a display of the aspiration of peace on earth, good will to all people make poor Jon afraid? Is it earth shattering to wish fellow Americans a Merry Christmas rather than the Blessed Christmas when I know the American is a bother or sister in Christ? Why is Jon so offended by the American tradition which made America not a perfect place but the best place for Jews; our any body else in the world? For the American tradition which supported Jews having a haven under their control in this world?

        Jon of all people should understand America is not perfect simply because man is not perfect or perfectible. American can and should always strive (virtue) but we can never be made perfect by the wisdom of man. The pagan 'it is hopeless so screw it, every body do what they want' certainly is not enlightened and therefore not civilized.

        The stunning thing in all Jon's collectivist Empire strikes back is other religions; in the vast majority, are simply not offended and actually enjoy all the lights and displays. Sure you can find one or two people who you would not want in your home to say anything. Advanced degrees do not change their basic nature.

        In fact the only religion always shouting in anger this time of year are the atheists. Rather the atheists as religion mob demanding their religion take precedence over all others by banning all display of faith in a Benevolent and Providential Creator.

        Yet it is not being an atheist which makes them a heathen disbarred by our Framers' from their title American patriot. No it is their nasty selfish hostility. Sadly Jon seems to believe he is holding a light saber when in fact it is just the club of the caveman. French cromag style I believe.

        Job sharp edgy and smart? Nope. Jon smart, edgy, clever takes work. Get to work please you can do better. Your club is not a light saber and of all Americans your audience needs far more help than most.
