Progressive and science? Nope all they have is their emotional religion
Speaking during a tour of the Argonne National Laboratory in Illinois on Friday, Obama said the only way to “break this cycle of spiking gas prices for good” is to find alternative sources of energy for vehicles.
“We went through another spike in gas prices, just like last year, and the year before that. It happens every year. It’s a serious blow to your budget—like getting hit with a new tax coming right out of your pocket,” he said.
Obama proposed taking some of U.S. oil and gas revenues from public lands and putting it to fund research, including supporting scientists who are designing new engines that are more energy efficient; developing cheaper batteries that go farther on a single charge; and designing new ways to fuel cars and trucks with new sources of clean energy such as advanced biofuels and natural
My goodness. American has a 10,000 supply of natural gas recoverable at less than the current cost of oil. It can be used either as methanol or directly.
Nope. What Obama wants is more corruption for political payoff. First rational action would be to end this corn ethanol insanity.
Obama is completely delusional on energy policy. COMPLETELY at best.
You keep repeating this statement:
"American has a 10,000 (year???) supply of natural gas recoverable at less than the current cost of oil. " Without one iota of proof. Are we to simply believe anything you make up?
Initial estimates suggest carbon deposits in hydrates are double the size of all known oil, gas and coal reserves, the U.S. Geological Survey said in a January 2013 report. The world’s proven reserves of natural gas alone were 208.4 trillion cubic meters at the end of 2011, according to BP Plc. (BP/)
Gas molecules locked in ice have also been found in the North American permafrost and the Gulf of Mexico.
India is drilling for frozen gas it has preliminarily estimated to be as large as 1,894 trillion cubic meters, according to the website of the Directorate General of Hydrocarbons, the oil and gas exploration and production regulator. Japan’s deposits of frozen gas may be large enough to supply its needs for about 100 years, according to Japan Oil, Gas & Minerals, a government-affiliate known as JOGMEC.
Maybe a self assumed expert should bother to read the USGS analysis? But then of course you are the tantrum throwing child around here.
Based on our successful land based test of using co2 to displace methane - yea talk about carbon neutral - our Geological Survey Civil Servants estimated a cost around $7 per mcf. With today technology and we all know how fast oil and gas technology is advancing. Unlike Obama throwing $100,000,000,000 in tax money away with yet another $100,000,000,0000 tail cost undisclosed to average Americans this was all done for less than $10 million.
Plus of course it was all posted here for you to read and you seem once against to have chosen to remain ignorant. Busy reading Progressive propaganda to post as some sort of 'equal' rather than objective and rational opinion. ;-)
