I was long LINE. First shares purchased at $41 quite a while back. Stayed the course, and purchased more on the declines. Must admit I questioned my sanity when it hit the low $20's. Ended up with an average share price of $28.35. Sold all shares today at $28.36. This stock may well go back to $40 or more, but I'm glad to be off the roller coaster! My sincere best wishes to all longs here.
Posts like this amuse me. If you find the need to brag on message boards about "breaking even" or "glad to be out" then you really have no business investing in stocks. Emotional traders such as yourself almost always end up losing $$ in the stock market. Better suited investing in a CD or Gov't Bond my friend.
Unfortunately, sometimes you just want to get out not loosing money. It's not the total upside you target but, just getting even. Especially, after taking the beating some of us have. IMHO it takes a seasoned investor with a long term view to ride it out. Like you IMHO the yield is just to attractive to leave now. I have only 4k shares but,, they were all bought in the mid 30's. So I am hurting on this stock but, I was in for the divvy and as long as that comes monthly I can wait it out, Again IMHO there just seems to be too much upside potential to cut and run now. To some with stocks like LINE they emotionally loose focus on the big picture especially, if it is a large part of their portfolio and sell at that moment of darkness just before dawn.
I don't think that divie was helping much with his loss. More comforting then anything. Now that he is back to even he feels much better. There is still an over hang to this stock. Look @ ATHN SCTY HIMX VZ all have been gaining as he was waiting to get back to even. VZ has been zooming with a nice divie.
