coming out of the bakken that we as a country do not have enough storage or delivery infrastructure set up for delivery. Instead of flaring the Nat gas they are trying to turn more trucks and equipment into running off of nat gas. Yet some here sat we aren't producing enough nat gas and that more land needs to be opened up. The price of nat gas will probably stay low for years to come.
yes and no. yes there is a lot of natgas in the USA, except for new england. yes we do need more storage infrastructure, yes the bakken flares a lot. BUT the real reason the bakken flares a lot is they went after the oil without building the infrastructure to get the natgas out. stupid gold rush mentality.
now if you know who is the building the pipelines to get the natgas out of the bakken at various stages then you have a winner winner chicken dinner.
I feel the best nat gas play are pipeline companies, as those that are not exposed to commodities have a more assured income. Unfortunately none are cheap. I have invested in FISH.
Exports can only be opened up so much Chris. First we need more LNG processing facilities. This is why i hold D and LNG. There really isn't any problem with more NG being produced in this country. We are awash in it and oil. We need more capabilities of moving the product.
