Remember, the VOLT only goes about 35 miles per charge, it goes less if you use the AC or the heater. If you commute the round trip beyond the 35 miles you use the gas engine. This reduces the great mileage down to 38 to 45 mpg.
This ain't too good for the price you pay.
<<In heavy traffic this EC is a total loser. 35 mp charge if you are not running the AC, radio, heater, electric seats, in about an hour your battery is dead. >>>
Now Who would use the AC and Heater at the same time?
>>>And the plug-in part of it is a bad thing, for all the people who park on city streets. You know, part of that 78% who drive less than 40 miles per charge? Gol' durn those facts!<<<
That's why it also has an ICE, so you can always make it home!
Gol' durn you for deliberately confusing those facts!
>>>The GM Volt is not a purchase you'd make with saving fuel money in mind. And that's deuced odd, since the GM Volt is being marketed as a fuel saver.<<<
Don't confuse the two Rathhial, I concede it's not a money saver given current economics but it IS a fuel saver.
