I sometimes get a little pessimistic about were our country is headed, but every time that happens, something I see reminds me what privileged lives we live.
Just sitting here on a Saturday afternoon, I turned on the annual Army/Navy football game. Seeing the young people from both West Point and Annapolis singing the Star Spangled Banner just has to restore your confidence that somehow, we will get through all this in spite of Washington, DC. The core of this country is still sound.
Thanks for listening, I'll now return to my cynical self.
