Re: GM paying taxes - Hah! They SUCK taxes from us!
"Ford was screwed too. They got no such help, and have to compete against a subsidized Government Motors."
How dumb some Americans are with their thinking. GM and Chrysler got none of this Fund but they still have to compete.
The Energy Department said Tuesday it would lend $5.9 billion to Ford Motor Co. and provide about $2.1 billion in loans to Nissan Motor Co. and Tesla Motors Inc., making the three automakers the first beneficiaries of a $25 billion fund to develop fuel-efficient vehicles.
Energy Secretary Steven Chu announced the loan recipients at Ford's Research and Innovation Center in Dearborn. The loans to Ford will help the company upgrade factories in five Midwest states to produce 13 fuel-efficient vehicles.
You are clearly also posting as 'longpickuptruck'. He has said the same thing on many occasions, but fails to provide the data that leads him to this conclusion, thereby identifying himself as a fraud. Are you any better? Can you give us a specific example of a GM car or truck that is 10-25% over priced to another comparable car? Or are you a fraud as well? Key word is 'comparable'.
I think you are a fraud as well, because if you're right you could win the Nobel Prize for Economics. You would be disproving that the concept that an open market will not pay a significantly higher price for a comparable product.
