The Wolverines are No. 1 in The Associated Press' college basketball poll for the first time since their Fab Five days 20 years ago, but Beilein is determined not to get carried away with all this recognition.
Michigan took over the top spot after a 74-60 victory at Illinois on Sunday night. Next up on the schedule is Northwestern, and there's no reason for the routine to change.
It wlll probably be Michigan (Go BLUE!) if they win at Illinois (which they should - but, any given "sunday", things happen). I was just excited that Sparty was knocked off by Indiana (another good team). Michigan should be #1 in the Big 10 and #1 nationally by about 7:45...
if Michigan defeats Illinois i think they will be NO 1 AP,but kansas will be NO 1 in coaches and ESPN.Other than gigging the SAP,I would prefer Kansas staying at 2 as I think they play better when they are not NO 1
