I agree, I listened to the CC and it was great. Even though their top end estimate for nxt qtr is less by 1 to 2 cents if you look at the one year estimates for the year it matches with the analyst estimates for the year. Overall a great qtr I think when most companies are missing or barely meeting earnings a beat of 6 cents is great. Most importantly this company has zero deb, low PE, free cash flow of $200+ million.
IMO, A lot of bad news is already baked in the stock price. SNPS guides slightly down, but not as badly as feared, wouldn't be surprised if the stock reverses and opens up tomorrow.
SNPS reported Q3 revs of $345.2 mln, matching the analyst mean on Thomson Reuters. Non-GAAP EPS was $0.47, ahead of expectations of $0.41 per share. For Q4, the company expects revs of $335 to $343 mln, vs. the analyst view of $346 mln. Non-GAAP EPS are seen at $0.29 to $0.33 per share, vs. the Street view of $0.34 per share. For the full year, revenue is targeted at $1.357 to $1.365 bln and non-GAAP EPS is seen at $1.71 to $1.75 per share. The Street view is $1.369 bln in revs and earnings of $1.70 per share
