The only time I heard Grossblatt speak was during a presentation that I heard online. I think it was last December but I could be off a little.
At that time, he touted the fact that UUU was the only company licensed to sell meters into China, but that they didn't have the capacity to enter that market. At the time, that seemed plausible as they had expanded the HKJV facility and while not sure, seemed to be going at full capacity. Shortly thereafter, somebody posted that Kidde was doing business in China which was puzzling in light of what Grossblatt had said. More puzzling now, is that with the boom in China and the slowdown in Europe for at least 2 quarters now, why isn't UUU shipping into China or even talking about planning to do so? One sentence in the PR on that would have made the results seem much more palatable.
My questions are, does UUU in fact have the exclusive rights to sell in China? If they ever did, might they have lost it due to inaction? Hard to believe that China doesn't care that they're not using the license. If they still have the rights, why aren't they using them?
