Brad`s only 43, why would he leave ? more to this story, i think...
Brad built this company and owns nearly half the stock. Begs the question, why just leave? What aren`t
we being told. Norman and Brad are brilliant businessmen, walking away from this is too strange.
UVE is lucky, in that it never had a major storm to cover claims in the time of the Meier regime.
Is the company capitalized enough to pay in the event of a CAT 3 or 4 ?
No, that is not the answer. Why would he give up the chairmanship which would only require him to come to a few meetings a year, especially given the fact that his personal wealth is tied to the company. Nobody in their right mind would own such a large position in a company without holding a seat on the board.
I think Brad is actually 45. And at this point, an early retirement and more leisure time probably sounds really good. Life is too short. He and Norman have had a few rough years in their personal lives, I believe.
