I bought ADI for 30. Is it high to keep or stay few more days. Any honest comment is appreciated.

    • i just started my research on this company because i see as biggest need in computers today: is increased SPEED, which will occur by increase by XDSL technology. Bill Gates himself has just predicted this technologies as big winner in '98. Does this stock have exposure in far east?

    • its not like sm to pick what i perceive to be a somewhat volatile stock for its 98 winners.
stock is down about four bucks from when the magazine said it was a winner.......anybody else out there got any estimates for the short term 98 on this baby..........

    • I have bought a variety of prices. A little early on some of the buys, but oh well. I will break even at 32 1/2. I'm in no
rush to get out. As an engineer that works in the markets that ADI sells to, I am reassured to know there are good things
happening with the company, and that they are generally held in high esteem. They have taken an aggressive stance towards TI and the
DSP market. That is what initially caught my interest. But since buying the stock, I see a lot of other good things occurring.
Now, hopefully that will translate into a gain for me. I really need it, especially after the last few weeks.

P.S. Today was nice, a little on the short end compared to some of the other techs I own. But a vast improvement over the way the day started.

      • I also like ADI and I design electronic products that use their chips. However, If you check the Telechart 2000 Balance of Power indicator, you will find heavy distribution on this stock. Until distribution trends neutral or weakens, you may be too early. By the way, I am also waiting to buy this stock as I think they have great "niche" products that should not be affected by "commodity competition" from Asia.
