Just wondering how you every one makes there perdiction on the future of this company, is it simply opinion or is there and research? i.e attend the houseware show to see what new and how things are changing if at all.
I make my predictions based on the company's financial statements, its history and the quality of the people running the company as well as what I think about the economy and the stock market. At this time it is very difficult to find a stock that is selling just over cash per share with honest management, good accounting and a history of profitability and dividends. It is worth more than it is selling for and I think it will continue to go up no matter how much no_slapps bad mouths it
ccjjww, not much is changing at NPK. Though manufacturing costs have been cut, the business is one of shrinking margins. Product innovation is minimal.
Maybe when effective use of microchips in kitchen gadgets becomes reality, there will be some hope for the operations of NPK. Otherwise, it is simply a debt-free, cash-rich company selling low-margin boring products in a painfully competitive market.
