Caxton Associates' primary business is to manage client and proprietary capital through global macro hedge fund strategies. Assets are managed via a broad mandate to trade in a variety of global markets and instruments. Caxton Associates and its affiliates currently manage approximately $7.7 billion in assets. The firm was founded in 1983 by Bruce Kovner.

In addition, Caxton is the sole shareholder of Caxton Europe Asset Management Limited (“CEAM”), a limited company formed under the laws of the United Kingdom. CEAM is the corporate member of Caxton Europe LLP, an investment manager registered with the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority.
