    UAL liked to shot it�s self in the foot.

    But entering into CH. 11 with a very good chance at it turning into CH.7 just to spite the pilots was a VERY dangerous move. If USAir�s labor does decide to strike (which it would have the right to do if the judge approve Sec. 1113) it would only take one or two days of a work stoppage to put an end to the airline.

      With 125,000 recently unemployed airline works it would take a couple of day to find permanent replacements for all of USAir�s labor. Striking is not an option, even for irrational unions now.

        Doesn't matter. Still would have to train all from scratch according to U's FAA approved training program.

        HAHA it's takes one to two WEEKS to get just to get an airport ID (in this post 9/11 world). ALL RETURNING EMPLOYES must be re-screened and have backgroung checks re-run.

        One to two days it more then enought to trigger a CH.7, think what ONE to TWO WEEKS would do.
