Interesting that Raizen still owns 15% of CDXS based on today's SEC filing regarding the proxy vote; I thought they had sold their shares a while back, apparently not. Although this article (bottom) is a month old, it speaks to the future of Raizen and eight prospective "cellulosic" plants. What makes me most intrigued is they, Raizen, require the enzymes from somewhere (Codexis??) to to make this possible since currently they produce ethanol using standard fermentation. Possibly linking unrelated parts together, but who knows.....I think Alan Shaw's way off on his assessment...Brazilians have been economically producing ethanol since the 1970's, the cellulosic piece will merely add value to existing technology.
