    Increasing home dialysis is a corporate Goal

    Fresenius CEO says "increasing home dialysis is a corporate goal". Now that Fresenius is using nxtm home dialysis machines this will result in huge increase in growth for nxtm.

    • This is big. Davita and Fresenius are marketing Nextstage machines. Since when is it that another company markets your product and you can sit back and cash in. Huge growth for NXTM

      • Kind of a no brainer. At a clinic there are a finite amount of seats and a typical dialysis treatment lasts somewhere between 2.5 to 3.5 hours per patient plus the required disinfectant and cleaning between usage. If you have 10 seats in your clinic you may be aable to bill for up to 30 treatments a day best case. Unless DaVita or Fresineous want to continue to lease/build new clinic locations in an effort to try to expand which results in added costs for staff, assets, etc. This will be a slow method of revenue growth. The easier option is maximizing growth of the home market patient base. Generally, home market expansion only requires the purchase of a machine to issue the patient that is eventually redeployable. Only other "real" cost is patient training/support requirements, but once training and support processes are inplace is the cost per patient is minimized. Ancillary benifit is the cost for electricity and water/drainage is now paid by the customer not the clinic. Maximized growth for DeVita and Fres in the home market!
