Geithner didn't mention any specifics. That's why the market tanked. The Fed knows to get the economy going, you got to get the banks lending again. The banks aren't lending any money now, business can't get credit. It's a domino effect. If they can relax the M to M rules so that the banks aren't bleeding to death on the books, they will start to lend money again. That's why the street looks at that as a positive and reacted the way it did in AH's.
