    • Okay got it, Mr. Gapper. Tech is amazingly strong in pre-market with no steep sell-off, but at this sky high price ---> I lose interest in tech!

I look for unloved "laggards" for possible gains, and financial sector is one of them!

    • they will hot hold banks in buckets for santa. no way what you see for tech c double for financials. if i had to bet on anything i'd stay with dip buying the bulls in tech rather than the fiancials.

but i'm doing what you don't like to do with both.

    • Comparing to FAS, FAZ and UUP for today's daytrading:

UUP moves very slowly ---> no fast action, no quick bucks.

FAZ is peaking up a bit ---> not moving fast either, why?

FAS does not sell off that big pre-market despite of a red future ---> maybe wise just to stick with trading FAS by buying the dip and selling the rebound today???

    • I do not like to short stocks ... so UDN does not look attractive to me at all! But the UUP chart looks very attractive to me since it is a bull dollar ETF ... and UUP is at deep trough ---> for bottom fishing!!! I will have to monitor UUP for a while since I am new at this ETF. Thank you all for your insight and advice!!! Best of luck trading today!

    • uup ugly chart but hey normally you don't short BUT SHORTING udn is long the dollar lol

    • I can see Mr. Gapper and his grandma holding up a bottle of RED wine toasting each other to bring down Wall Street today, eh?

Boy, aren't we glad to unload a bunch of stock holdings yesterday taking advantage of market new high in the GREEN? My gut feeling over the weekend ... has been confirmed!!!!

Bulls May Be Ready For A Rest
      By John Shipman

Despite some lingering weakness in the U.S. dollar index, premarket stock futures suggest markets may take a breather, at least early on. Both oil and gold are cooling off a bit, too. Asian markets were a little lower overnight, and European markets are softer as well. October Producer Price Index is due at 8:30 a.m. ET; industrial production & capacity utilization set for 9:15 a.m.; homebuilders November sentiment index out at 1:00 p.m. Heaps of Fedspeak today, with San Fran’s Yellen, Richmond’s Lacker and Cleveland’s Pianalto all commenting today. Home Depot 3Q results out, sales look in line with expectations, EPS a little better, shares down 0.5% premarket in light action. Target reports before the open. S&P futures down 3.90; 10-year lower, yield at 3.36%.
