While you never know if some one got a hold of a fundamental reason to sell, I get Schwab email alerts when a share price varies more than 5%. This morning I had 11 of them out of 40 companies I follow and all 11 were down more than 5%. That's an extraordinarily high percentage. Most of the ones moving down had experienced large up moves over the last two months and were now giving much of it back, just like PCRX.
My point is that this could be more of a sector move as opposed to anything specific about Exparel.
We'll have to see where revenues come in for Q1, that will give us the next confirmation whether the long term projection is going as planned. I always have some concern with drug companies that their sales increases could partially be due to inventory increases by wholesalers and customers, as opposed to actual usage by physicians. It's something we'll have to watch.
