Now we have the deep philosophy: What does it mean to be an American?
Not that I have a side on this matter:
I'm sure those betting against the banks are not betting against America...but merely the particular bank or company. One could argue the contrary, it is un-american for a Bank to allow its practices to negatively affect the public well being. One could say, it is un-American to negatively impact your fellow American when given choice. It is American to positively impact your fellow American.
Any system adapts and changes...Without a debate, price resistance, or issue... the practice and policies that are negatively impacting the public remain in place.
The market rewards companies that produce, and rejects those that do not. That interest is reiterated over and over in the form of millions of trades. Take a look at the some of the smaller banks, you will be suprised that alot of them are doing pretty well in the market with good results. The larger banks faced larger issues that affected everything.
