What's up with that? Did they get the all clear signal to use every accounting trick available, or are things that good? This is a legitimate question, and I'd like to see someone look into prior quarters for these companies kicking A, because this guy ain't gonna do it.
its called cutting the fat. Unemployment is high. Do you know why? Because all these companies are trimming the fat. They have it in the newspaper all the time that xyz company is laying off x thousand of workers. When you lay off workers, you save a lot of money. Operating costs go down. If these EARNINGS were really so outstanding, then there would not be much talk of a double dip, but the market gets the fact that these are the best earnings these companies are going t see for at least a couple of years, and that is why the market is milking it as much as they can. But once earnings season is done, the floor comes out and reality will set in. jmho
