Boston Scientific Corporation Message Board

    Stupid Wall Street analysts

Just this morning, Merrill puts out a report with a Buy rating on BSX, stating that any chance of an expanded recall would be low.

Then, this from the Angiotech board...

John Calcagnini, an analyst at CIBC World Markets, said in a research note Boston Scientific may be expanding the scope of the recall.

"One of our field contacts stated that Boston Scientific will do an expanded recall on the Taxus stent," he said.

He added that the company may replace some of its older inventory of the Monorail Taxus design with the redesigned Taxus delivery system

Now, if Boston Scientific does a major recall on older Taxus stent models, then the news ones won't save it either, at least for the time being. WHY? Because it's all about credibility. And if doctors and hostitals fear the credibility of one Taxus stent, they will fear them all regardless.

...if it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, then it is a duck. If there's something wrong with Taxus, then concern will raise for ALL MODELS of Taxus.

    Period. End of story.
