Just as CISCO is the plumber of the internet (routers, etc) LOOK is becoming the underlying indexing and content provider for other portals (Time-Warner (CNN), BT, etc. ) someone even mentioned yesterday that YAHOO! should just give up on their messy indexing and hire LOOK. After talking with some LOOK staff, and reading recent reports, their business plan (which I admit has not always been clear) is now clear - selling their services to others. The LOOK portal is kind of icing on the cake rather THAN the cake. Comments?
