Well I was just pointing out that if hardware sales are 70% of their revenue then you need to divide you 113 by .7 to get total sales of 161.43.
As you said their margins on $600 phone should be considerably less then on $200 phones. We probably should up the % for subscriptions to .60 to be safe... which gives us gross sales of 188.33. How does that compare with what they said they would do?
113M only represent BlackBerry sales if sale price is $200 each.
Look at RIM BlackBerry sale number of Q2. You can see the BB sale of Q3 have no growth (actually lower than Q2).
I wonder how many units of 7100 shipped in Q3 ?
The total RIM Q3 sale could show no much growth comparing Q2 unless RIMM has terrific sale of 7100.
I think the Q3 cost should be more than Q2
Anyway we will be the results soon.
Stop your whining and conspiracy theories. The Gartner data was released on COMTEX this evening at 6:15 pm.
Face the fact that if you're short, you're on the wrong end of the stick today (Friday).
"JesseJackster, This article doesn't make you skeptical at all? You've heard of this analyst and website? "
LOL! Another newbie. Nice try to instill yet another conspiracy theory, but your comments were really weak and show lack of attention.
If you haven't heard of Gartner, you shouldn't be trading stocks like RIMM.
FYI, Gartner is one of the MAIN MARKET RESEARCH firms that reports OBJECTIVELY on market share stats of various companies.
The salient point that will move RIMM tomorrow is this paragraph which indicates RIMM is gaining market share:
--->Gartner analyst Tom Kort says, "Demand for wireless e-mail continues to increase as the primary driver of new PDA deployments. The shipment growth of Research In Motion nearly balances the decline of Palm OS, Linux, Symbian and proprietary PDAs."
Also note how RIMM responds to market share stat reports... On Nov 17, RIMM shot up from the Nov 16th close of about $82 to $88 on their announcement of their 2 Millionth subscriber. Look at the chart and note the price spike on Nov 17th:
Perhaps we'll see another jump on Friday...
