I am 62 years.
I started trading in 1999. Since then I am up $1.2 million ( Yes, after taxes )
Never traded through a broker.
Since last year, I have been averaging over $20,000 a month.
I trade each and every day ( almost ).
Mostly Shorts! I do well with 'shorting'. Very seldom I loose with Shorts - I keep my losess to within 5%.
I go through over 100 trades per month and I love it.
RIMM went up too fast too soon.
Common sense tells, It will come down sharply.
I went long today at 81.50 ( 300 shares ).
I have already put an order to sell at 83.75.
I did not think it would go to almost 84 post split.
However, I have been wrong before. But As I said before I do try and stick to my goals.
I have been short and long on this stock and I did make well over $40,000 in the last month and a half - on this stock alone.
I surpassed my goal of making $20,000 per month - this is what I do for a living.
Recently, I started concentrating on BIDU, GRMN, GOOG and POS.
I do not like to trade stocks that are over 250. But I did trade CME 3 times in 4 days - GOOG twice and BIDU 4 times.
Good Luck to all Shorts and Longs
Thank you! Thank you!Thank you! LORI.
You are the greatest!.
Many people on this board did not believe in you when you said it will come down a lot. I wish you had given a time frame so that I would not have had sleepless nights.
I made lots of money on being Short.
What else can I short? Please let me know.
Thanks again Lori.
People like you have no place on this board.
Express your opinions without uncalled for remarks.
You are undoubtedly long like me - but why be rude?
Of course, I would like to see it push to 240 or higher.
What I mean by keeping losses to 5%?
Actually, sometimes I do risk a little bit more on some stocks - as I mentioned in my previous posts.
On Volatile stocks + on some other stocks, I put a trailing % limit.
Ameritrade lets you do that. Most probably, all others let you do this too.
No, CME and GOOG are not in my range - too expensive.
Never traded these.
I am 62 and will not gamble my retirement money away on such stocks.
To the best of my knowledge, I have never traded any stock that is over 250. I think I traded EBAY and PCLN few years ago and lost a lot - margin calls!!!
I prefer to trade stocks in 20 to 200 range.
