when he could have scooped up shares on the open market for much less, the market is going to force Wasta to walk away. You know when the news breaks that Wasta is delaying the deal or that he couldn't get financing, the price will collapse as everyone will think BBRY is heading for bankruptcy. Or he could be doing this on purpose so he can scoop shares cheaper later. Either way, holders of this stock at this level will be screwed, this is heading lower and anyone who doesn't see that is a complete idiot and deserves to lose their money.
hey dumbbell, how would he scoop all the shares under 9!? The share price would skyrocket if anyone not just Wasta, would try to buy all the shares of a company... u must be new to the game... or extremely stup!d....

Thx for posting want I wanted to.. Some posters are clueless on how a BO offer works!
Shares are trading at $8.20, he can buy at current prices but he hasn't, why? He has to answer to Fairfax shareholders, the first question they'll ask: how many shares have you bought on the open market when the prices were in the $7-$8? The market is calling his bluff and that's why there will be no deal, the market is forcing him to walk away. Try to answer that intelligently, dumbbell!
agree with you totally there is no positive outcome barring something from out of leftfield.there is no fairfax deal,in fact depending on the ceraberus safeway deal there may not be a deal at all.there simply is no interest in buying blackberry for retail when it can be bought a year from now for wholesale or clearance.we are about to enter nov,and dec earnings will be out, with blackberrys history under this mgt why wouldnt any rational ceo wait, its not going higher than 9 prem sought to that,we really could be looking at 5 bucks by next year.bulls have not made a rational case for the buyout and the cast of so called bidders are bottom feeders.
