No harm, no foul. Thought maybe it was kkdgirl as she's been known to 'help' me, too. I agree that engineering works according to fixed laws and I never ignore them; but English and grammar do not, so I don't worry about it except on my Rx bottles.
I am the spellingsentinel. I am also a retired mechanical engineer; Pratt Institute MME, '68.
Engineering bears a distinct similarity to spelling and grammar. Nature works according to fixed laws and when they are ignored, bridges collapse, motors smoke rather than turn, and televisions stay dark.
You can't fake it for long with engineering or English composition.
>Were you an English major?<
No. Engineering. I did REAL studies, got a REAL degree, a REAL job, and built REAL financial security. I don't have to worry about things like spelling and grammar. That's what $7 an hour administrative assistants (teachers college types) are for. Any more questions?
Tim: u REALLY know how to egg on the culties: just do it! I'm tame by comparison, but i do have my moments, and i'm warming up again now that i'm back in the game (short at 35.5, after i got burned on my last spin on the donut). Guess I'll just have to try harder!
Seriously though, we shorts should be grateful for the cult. They're buying what we're selling (along with the insiders, of course).
>BTW, having long detractors on this board ain't a bad thing<
Don't ya' just hate it, though, that about the time you get them saddle broke, Yahoo lets them change handles? When I came here a year ago June the longs were boasting how they had busted all the shorts and run them out of business. I guess I'm just lucky. Couldn't possibly be that I'm tenacious, have deep pockets, and am RIGHT more than I'm wrong could it? You newbie longs take note: You'll learn to LIKE to lick my boots.
