Wow! That kid is good! He has got some talent. He seems to use a lot of the "2 finger" techniques that Django used. I love those Selmer type guitars. Someday I'll have to get one. I was reading about them awhile back. Small hole versus D hole.
btw..... I'm currently working on "Misty". So many ways to play it. I love how Joe Pass did it. I'm not a finger style player. He was a monster at fingerstyle and pick style....the guy was a genius. I'm just making it through a version my old teacher taught me.
ya... I have been looking at used jazz boxes at used.guitarcenter.com... thinking about buying a joe pass epiphone emperor. I also like the Ibanez pat metheny model... but i really want something with a bigsby: Aria and Gretsch make nice ones... but a selmer-type would be soooo cool (Gitane is an affordable brand/model).
The Emperor does look like a nice one. I've heard good things about the Eastman guitars. Most of the American archtops too expensive for me haaha. I'll have to wait. I'm playing an Aria for now. It isn't too bad for the money. I need a cutaway. Mine has none.....like an old Gibson ES 125.
