I've sold out of PBR this morning at a 2% short term loss. I did a round trip but orchestrated a short term loss for tax reasons.
Reasoning: All of the issues with socialization, etc. The main reason is that this is a slow grower. It is too big. There are so many other great growth opportunities so I've decided to look elsewhere. I also wanted to raise more cash and PBR was the one to sell.
Great board however. I will continue to follow the folks here since they actually have worthwhile conversations compared to a lot of boards here.
PBR ownership is no requirement for participation... I have not been in the stock for months, years! Its true I live in Brazil and that gives me a special interest in the subject, but really I participate for the informed discussion on other stuff. And to annoy Winnie.
I mean, how often do I need to say PBR is no place to put money right now. Even I find myself boring!
BTW- anybody here that is done with PBR stock, but still like the idea of being in a Brazil oil stock might do some dd on OGX Petroleum ADR, traded on the pink sheets as OGXPY. Don't let the pink sheets listing scare ya off. The market current market cap is 32B, the stock trades an average of almost 700M per day.
