The stocks are zooming today on WLT take-over speculation. That one is up 25%! The value of the companies must be well above todays share prices for that kind of move to take place. Of course, I am not really participating in this little bump having sold out of all my coals tocks except ARLP and NRP. Boo Hoo.
ARWEN: Did you look into the coal stocks I suggested here:
Peabody Energy’s chairman and CEO Gregory Boyce, who stated in June 2010, “I believe we are in the early stages of a long-term super cycle for coal.” Boyce pointed out that coal had been the world’s fastest growing fuel over the last decade. Boyce expects this trend to continue with Asian nations building more coal-fired power generation plants.
Well, hopefully they will not yield much more than they do now anytime soon. But the economy - and coal stocks - could tank and you could get lucky. That would make me unlucky... LOL.
If you are into those, check out MMP, KMP, ETP -- nat gas pipelines and processing. ETP yields over 8% b/c management cant seem to bring new projects in on budget... but once the projects are done, could be a solid hi-yielding investment.
