think Bush lied.
That figures to be most of those with IQs over 110. And now the doofus says Iraq "had had" WMD whatever "had had" means. LOL.
Actually in this case, I think that bush is just a parrot for cheney, rumsfeld, and wolfowitz. They pull his strings
Kinda like Roxy's lawyer in Chicago. That was a clever scene and Renee Zellweger was magnificent.
Slanderous accusations means untrue. His AWOL behavior and insider trading were true but uncharged. DUI was guilty. Uncharged does not equate to not guilty.
Its like Bill Murray said in Stripes while enlisting.
"Have you ever been convicted of any crimes?"
"Hmmm...Have we ever been convicted of a crime?" he asks his mate.
"Convicted? No, never convicted," his mate replies.
After which Bill Murray says, "Nope, I've never been *convicted* of any crimes."
"The old Spiro Agnew philosophy of "love it or leave it" just doesn't cut it."
In its literal sense--doesn't seem whacky. If one doesn't love this country, then try and find somewhere you would like better. HOWEVER, I believe the intent and implication of that was, "don't question anything", and accept without debate all gov't decisions--and, that IS whacky (to say the least).
exactly. The old Spiro Agnew philosophy of "love it or leave it" just doesn't cut it. Nothing is ever perfect and there are things wrong ( at least in my mind) here as well as in other countries.
Sometimes, we have strong convictions, and just can't understand how someone can perceive something (fact or opinion) differently. Its amusing the different styles people may have to either put their point across or try and convince others.
I ahve been guilty of portraying different styles myself.
I do agree that if you accuse someone of "hating America", you better point to something more then differing views about issues or elected officials.
definitely. But too many are ignoring evidence that contradicts their own position and when that happens they either ignore, opbfuscate, or sometimes say things like "you hate the US" or something of that ilk.
