A couple of months ago I received a $1,624 check from the Iowa Electronic Markets in settlement of my $500 wager that the GOP would win the House and that the Dems would retain the Senate.
I'm looking forward to early 2012 when I can get some money down on the idea of President Palin.
Nice prediction for a Steelers win.
Almost as go as this prediction:
Iowa Electronic Markets 6-Jan-08 03:40 pm
In real-money wagering on the GOP and Dem nominations, the current odds are:
37% for McCain
29% for Giuliani
16% for Huckabee
15% for Romney
56% for Obama
40% for Clinton
I see I'm going to have to get some money down on Hillary and Rudy to win their respective nominations.
And this one:
Re: Huckabee increases lead in SC at expense of 9-Jan-08 12:02 pm
Florida is all that matters for Giuliani. If he wins there as expected, it's back to normalcy and McCain will be back to being an also-ran. I don't think Rudy can be stopped.
Another great Prediction!
An unblemished record of always being wrong.
"Green Bay just squeaked into the playoffs and had just a 3 and 5 regular-season road record. Pittsburgh had a better record by two games in the regular season and they also played in the tougher Conference. I think that the superior Pittsburgh defense will make the difference tomorrow. "
The come bet with odds is ALWAYS better than a place bet. There are no exceptions. Further, the odds bet can be taken down at any time although at even money it is the best bet on the table.
Why is it you are not able to understand that the odds on a bet are the odds? They don't change because of some erroneous perception you may have.
It should be obvious, even to a novice such as yourself, that it is always to the players advantage to make bets in which the casino has the lowest advantage. ALWAYS!
I can't believe you put up an extra 20% to nudge the spread a single point. Well, in your case, I can understand.
In corrrecting him, know that you have now taken the risk of being accused of posting here on a 'lark'.
His latest attempt at ingenuity and defense. IOWs he can post things that are patently wrong, and when some one corrects him; they, in his mind, are posting on a lark.
What a piece of 'work' (another polite word choice).
