There are two basic types of reviews by the FDA - the 6 month accelerated reviews, and the 12 month reviews. So as an investor, you should try to find out when the drug has been filed, and look for 12 months beyond that date.
Now Pfizer is a special case. They will actually delay either approval or launch of products to make sure they get the most favorable labelling possible.
(1) split will not happen, unless stock is at 90, and not until BOD meeting. I think it is on like the 22 or 23.
(2) WLA purchase? It's my understanding the stock is red hot right now. Buy on dips? Maybe, but either way you get a great company in a great sector PFE or WLA. Note though, this stock has been lagging the drug sector for about a week and 1/2 now... that means if you buy PFE now, you get it before it gets hot. (ie, when earnings released, split comes, and before Viagra comes out).
