UAN was $30 on 1/24 with a low dividend and partial plant shutdown; market has advanced 13% in the interim, results were solid, pricing realized good, guidance strong. sitting on a pile of cash. i know this stock moves when volume comes in; just hasnt happened from what I can see....was the initial burst right after earnings and thats been it really.
Dont get me wrong. I agree....but where is future growth coming from? When the company says" we are searching for something to buy" the pps stalls do to possible stock dilution. Its a "what have you done for me lately" problem.
Why is there so much emphasis placed on "future" growth? How many other companies out there are paying this kind of dividend in the first place? This company is already expanding in other areas. More often than not, the "future growth" people become so obsessed with almost always comes with baggage that I don't want. Debt and or dilution of stock will offset any growth that comes with it more often than not. FCX, in its search for "growth" and "expansion" is buying MMR and Plains Exploration. Their stock price PLUMMETED at this news. All I'm saying is be careful what you wish for.
i really dont think so. plus the top and bottom line exhibited solid growth with out any of that, and without the additional capacity factored in for 3/4 of the quarter. regardless of the mights or maybes of some external acquisition
