Why has the SP been dropping each day?

Although the market has been dropping every day, why is the ACOM SP also dropping?

With the pending deal to sell ACOM for $32 being almost a certainty, why would people continue to sell their shares at more of a discount the closer the deal comes to being made?

    • People who own have gains and would rather be taxed in 2012 than 2013 given the likelihood of an increase in taxes. For someone who bought at $24 and has a gain of $7.50 that could be a huge difference. Also, "stuff" happens and if, for some reason, (market conditions for example) the deal does not go through, this will drop back to $28-$29 or upside is $50 and downside is $4+ maybe. Better to take the money and get into something new that has more than 1.3% upside in 2-3 months.

      • I doubt that the gains on stock investments will cost people with incomes under $250,000 or possibly $500,000, any extra taxes, or a very small increase.

I do believe that with each quarter showing higher income, ACOM will be higher than $40 before the end or 2013.

This deal is so bad, that they purposly announced it the day before a positive earnings report.

Do they think that they fooled anyone?

They are selling for well below what it is worth, and they know it!

    • people choosing to cash out now rather than wait several months for an extra .50 or .70 a share

more people looking to do that than there are people looking to buy in and make a .50 or .70 a share profit early next year

I'm in no hurry to cash out, but not looking to tie up more cash by loading up on additional shares either--lots of other stocks to buy that have dropped much more and promise bigger gains than ACOM
