    • It says in their quarterly report:

"Income from continuing operations for the second quarter was $17.1 million, or $0.28 per diluted share, compared with $16.4 million, or $0.24 per diluted share, for the second quarter last year."

The AP article is misreporting, perhaps by not comparing apples with apples, ie. "continuing operations". Perhaps they are including the Walther earnings in there, without showing the proper adjustment for continuing operations.

      Bad liberal motivated Presstitute Journalism

    • Dear fatman-my guess it's the short hedge fund manipulations.

    • Dear josheemo- it's difficult to be a good poster based on tautoligies

    • what tragedy did it even happen? who wants to buy in at all time highs. when the federal reserve slows or stops its massive $85 billion dollar a month bond buyback program you know what will happen to the market. I think the bond buying program just formed a huge stock market bubble.

    • Good write up.

I first noticed RGR when it was about 6 bucks. I wanted some, but was loaded to the hilt with telecoms at the time because "Hey, they own the internet..." Ya, that worked out well....NOT.

    • Even if he said anything about a "plateau" - that's just setting a modest expectation that will be beat.

If Ruger thought sales would not continue to grow, would they be buying a new facility? No.

The proportion of the population buying guns is up. 1st time buyers are up. Repeat buyers are buying more - and will increase that as the economy improves. And Ruger's market share is growing with their many new products. Basically, they are getting a bigger slice of a bigger pie.

OH - and shorts - the short was an amazing 43% or so aout a year ago - now it's 'only' 32(?) %.

Buy (on dips) and hold. Less
