They did do a soft launch of the International App. I guess they need to see if there are any issues before they do a full scale launch. Here's the link:
It's actually not bad. I figured I would get that echo or a delay. But I works a lot better than I thought. It's free, so download it, try it, then make your form your opinion and uninstall it if you wish. Although I will say, the reviews look fake. They are just too short. But I guess Riss needs to have something to do.
Pervasip's foray into videophones has been a failure so far.
Sales must have been less than lukewarm (revenues went down), and the OEM manufacturer Worldgate is in Chapter 7 liquidation, so no more Ojos are forthcoming.
There is certainly a market for videophones, and videophones are trivial to make, and should cost way less than cell phones to manufacture.
Art, I am not sure when it comes to those comments. Judging from your other posts, your knowledge on this is much more extensive than mine. I'm really just a sales guy. The reason I am impressed with this app is because I have been dinged on an international call in the past. A quick 10 minute call to Austrailia on my cell once cost me 60 bucks.
International communication is a bear. The nice thing is you don't really need as much of a sales staff for apps. Case in point...the video phone. Fantastic idea...no sales staff. Do you realize how many old people in this country don't use computers and wouldn't know how to Skype. Why didn't those ACN or Vox people have them in the thousands of retirement communities accross the country? Bandwidth in companies is a huge issue. The IT department won't even let me have Spotify on my desktop and any video calls have to go through as special room. However, their technology would be great, there is just no sales staff (ACN people are not trained for that) to conduct business to business sales.
I decided to put a little money into this stock, but $5,000 is my limit on any pinksheet...even if it were to cure cancer.
Keep the posts going Art, whether people like you or not, you have some great info!
Good luck everyone! Unless of course you are short. In that case, you know where to go.
Dej, it is possible that Vox will launch a separate "International App", not just a new worldwide plan within the old app. We will know for sure next week.
They also say they support multiple (60) SIP suppliers. I'm puzzled by that.
Vox used astr0turf last year to try to peddle the Ojo, thru its VonTrump website.
It didn't work too well.
2 years ago, Vox also boasted about the great number of downloads of its Symbian app.
Stranglely, PVSP revenues were going down as downloads were going up.
