    Question for long time shareholders

Does GME generally meet analysts estimates for the quarter, and if they don't meet it, are they known to give a heads up before they release earnings that they will miss? It shows an Estimated EPS of $1.72.

    • That question is very difficult to address given how you have to look at more than just EPS. You need to look at Topline.

Gamestop is struggling right now as pretty much all of the Videogaming struggling.

I focus on the fact that Gamestop has diversified their earnings into Mobile Tablets and Digital. All of which offset some but not yet all of the poor NPD numbers in Jan. And Feb.

I expect Q1 on my own hunch will be poor for Gamestop while March and April will show an improvement. So longs will have no growth here until Q2 numbers.

With that said....Gamestop has warned investors last year when Q4 2010 was poor. No such warning this time as revenue overall did climb slightly versus q4 2010. New game sales up 9.9%. Used game sales up 3.5%.

Shorts will tune out Q4 2011 numbers though.
