    Back To Chemicals At DuPont?

    Good Evening, Bonsoir, Guten Abend, Buona Sera,

    Readers, it was less than three months ago, that an imperious Ms. Kullman bristled during the Q1 earnings conference call when an analyst innocently referred to DuPont as a "chemical company". "We are not a chemical company", a disdaining Kullman sniffed.

    So Friday, July 6, 2012, we got more than a muffled chuckle when we read a Reuters report that Arkema, the leading chemical maker in France valued at $7 billion, "had received multiple takeover approaches," which "could include DuPont".

    Hmmmmm, Do you suppose after all these years of turning up her nose at nasty chemicals in favour of cooking in her kitchen with corn and soybeans and Danish food additives, Ms. Kullman and her sous-chefs on the ninth floor of the dreary grey, 105-year old DuPont Building in Wilmington, Delaware are realising there is not a lot of money to be made from...

    * Clothes made out of corn, rugs out of renewables?

    * Fuel for your SUV or pickup truck made out of corn cobs or wheat, Butanol out of bread?

    * DuPont Crop Protection, when a $billion or two of likely losses in the aftermath of Imprelis litigation and tens of thousands of claims for dead trees are factored in?

    * Solar panels and OLEDS?

    * The intensely competitive global food business?

    But where is Ms. Kullman going to get the money? She blew $7 billion in Denmark last year, even unnecessarily tacking on $400 million to the price of Danisco, a maker of conventional food additives and enyzmes. Now she might blow $7 billion on a shopping trip in France?

    Merely THE WEAK IN REVIEW digitally penned by one individual investor holding positions in SYT, MON, & DD, and long-time student of the dysfunctional, devolving DuPont.

    • Folks, looks like this subject is a bit too sensitive for DuPont's imperial "leaders" bunkered behind the thick walls of Fortress Wilmington. Dirty-playing DuPont employees and operatives have attempted to BLOCK the message from the view of most readers with default settings in excess of one star. They have quickly slammed the lead post with a score of single stars.

      How do we know this gross abuse of the Yahoo! rating system is the sleazy work of DuPont employees and operatives? Self-disclosed representatives of DuPont, who have openly identified themselves over the internet as working for DuPont as employees and bonus-paid Managers have actually bragged they systematically engage in the practice to spare their superiors in DuPont the discomfort of differing public opinions!

      Such is the CHEAT-to-COMPETE culture of one of Syngenta's major competitors based in the dwarf state of Delaware. Cover-ups and sleaze is DuPont's business paradigm. Imprelis, Tell Us!
